Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I purchase the books needed for lessons?

You can order all of the books listed on Amazon, or you can call your local music store and have them order the books for you. I recommend Taylor’s Music Store in West Chester, PA, or your local Music and Arts.

Where do I purchase supplies needed for lessons?

You can order cables, rock stops, shoulder rests, music stands, and cloths online. As for rosin and strings, I recommend going to a music store to order them because they will have a wider selection of supplies and you will be able to talk to someone about what your needs are.

Help! I broke a string! What do I do?

Do not panic! Strings are easy to replace as long as the sound post of your instrument does not collapse (you will be able to tell if it collapsed because you will hear it rolling around inside your instrument). Message Sarah via email or text, and she will help you get a new string on your instrument.

How do I buy an instrument?

Whatever you do, do not order an instrument from Amazon. If you are thinking about purchasing an instrument, please talk to Sarah first. She will help you find reputable shops and online vendors to go to. Please do not purchase an instrument until you talk to your school teacher and/or Sarah.
